Erica Eriksdotter was born and raised in Sweden and sold her first painting at the age of 10. She remember getting her first easel at seven and finishing watercolor landscapes while on the phone with her girlfriends in her teens. "Painting has always been a part of my life. There was never a start or a beginning; it has just always been there." Read more...

"I cannot thank you enough, I love it more than words can say. This beautiful painting transports me back to my wedding day, when I held those fragrant flowers in my hand before walking down the aisle. More than a simple photo ever could, this painting will forever capture that precious moment for me. In your painting, I swear the bouquet is even more beautiful than I remember."

"It's gorgeous! You are an amazing artist. Ordering the painting from Sweden was supereasy and though I've only seen it through the detailed photos you sent me, I'm in love! I look at the photos at least twice a day and I can't wait for it to arrive so I can hang it on my wall and look at it all day long!

"We are both absolutely blown away every time we look at the painting. It looks exactly like her bouquet. The use of the gray/blue background really makes all the colors of the flowers pop. They are so crisp. You really nailed it and we are so happy we will have this to display in our home for years and years!"
- Scott from Denver, Colorado.

My art on the 19th floor in Manhattan

It's not often you drive to Manhattan and back in one day but that's exactly what Casey and I did the other day. I jumped at the opportunity when Felicia Zwebner, a well-known NYC interior designer, wanted some of my pieces in her showroom for a launch party of her furniture line.

The showroom is a beautiful 4-bedroom condo on the 19th floor on the Upper East Side. It has gorgeous dark floors, tall ceilings, white walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, etc. It just was wonderful to be there and to put up my art on the walls.

The interior designer chose 3 of my pieces, Pure Sunshine, Yellow June and Red June.

We didn't have a real camera with us and with all the light from the window it was hard to make the room justice. But I think you get the idea.

This is the other side of the room. No one actually lives here since it's a showroom but if they did, they'd be looking straight at Pure Sunshine when laying on that bed.

Here's a quick photo of the other room which wasn't fully decorated at the time. All the views were just breathtaking.

I believe this is the only art that will be featured on the walls during the launch party. I'm so glad I was able to head up there with Casey and pull this off. The 10 hour drive was pushing it in one day but we did it and we had a great time.

Now we just have to keep our fingers crossed that all the partygoers like my art!

xo,
e.
