Erica Eriksdotter was born and raised in Sweden and sold her first painting at the age of 10. She remember getting her first easel at seven and finishing watercolor landscapes while on the phone with her girlfriends in her teens. "Painting has always been a part of my life. There was never a start or a beginning; it has just always been there." Read more...

"I cannot thank you enough, I love it more than words can say. This beautiful painting transports me back to my wedding day, when I held those fragrant flowers in my hand before walking down the aisle. More than a simple photo ever could, this painting will forever capture that precious moment for me. In your painting, I swear the bouquet is even more beautiful than I remember."

"It's gorgeous! You are an amazing artist. Ordering the painting from Sweden was supereasy and though I've only seen it through the detailed photos you sent me, I'm in love! I look at the photos at least twice a day and I can't wait for it to arrive so I can hang it on my wall and look at it all day long!

"We are both absolutely blown away every time we look at the painting. It looks exactly like her bouquet. The use of the gray/blue background really makes all the colors of the flowers pop. They are so crisp. You really nailed it and we are so happy we will have this to display in our home for years and years!"
- Scott from Denver, Colorado.

It's a girl!! Sweden has a new princess!

{the new mom and dad}

Happy tears this morning! Sweden has a new princess, a princess who will inherit the throne one day! Congratulations to the new parents, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel!

Crown Princess Victoria gave birth 04:26 a.m. Swedish time and hours later, the new family left the hospital for the more private Haga Palace. "My feelings are all over the place right now," said Prince Daniel during an early morning press conference. Mother and baby are doing fine according to the new father. Read an interview with Prince Daniel

{The first photo of the new princess leaving the hospital. Her name will be officially announced in a couple of days, and possible royal names are Ulrika,Sophia, Astrid, Margareta, Désirée, Christina and Alice.}

Being a big fan of Sweden's royal family I've followed this pregnancy very closely, as many others have. It was amazing to see Crown Princess Victoria during the annual Nobel Prize Gala when she wore this beautiful dress, a favorite for me for sure during her pregnancy. As the camera zoomed in her dress, you could actually see the baby kick in there which of course caused a huge media sensation all over Scandinavia. This baby has been famous for a long time already!

What a wonderful day!

xo,
e.

UPDATE: Sweden's new princess has been named Estelle Silvia Ewa Mary, Duchess of Ostergotland announced King Carl XVI Gustaf on Friday, Feb. 24th in Stockholm. I'm of course partial to the name as my sister's daughter is named Estelle and I have to agree it's a fitting name for a princess.
