This original painting depicts a yellow and green tulip on a gray background getting ready to stretch out its petals to show the world its beauty. This piece was part of a three part series of closed tulips on gray background. It was donated in 2010 to the Knock Out Abuse Against Women, benefiting victims of domestic violence and included in the silent auction at the 17th annual fundraising gala in Washington DC on November 11, 2010.
