An adorable gray, teal and purple bird relaxing on a wire in a light gray sky.

This original painting was included in the Holiday Art Auction 2011. This smaller piece served as the field sketch for the larger original painting, Mr. Purple.  It depicts a fluffy and colorful bird sitting on a wire against a cloudy and dreary sky which goes from a darker to a lighter gray. The gray tones evokes a sense of serenity. The bird, Mr. Purple, is a really sweet, yet determined little guy inspired by a South African bird.
