First post of 2011! Thank you all for following me along into the new year. It feels wonderful! I have great feelings about the next 362 days. Here’s to bigger and better things!

To kick start the new year, I’m exhibiting at the Virginia State Senate’s General Assembly Building from January 14 to February 26! My paintings will be on the 3rd floor on an 18 feet wide wall. When planning the paintings for the large space, I wanted my art to stand out. Then I realized, I’ve been making a couple of large paintings in a row but none that would be included in this exhibit! So… I made this:

The “Large Purple Fringed Tulip” is an acrylic original on gallery wrapped canvas, measuring 36in x 48in (91.4cm x 122cm) and 1.5 inches (3.8cm) deep. It’s painted on all sides so there’s no need for a frame.

Of course, if you’re interested in snatching this up before someone buys it at the exhibit, please shoot me an email. 🙂

xo,
