Benny’s Pet Portrait

BY ERICA ERIKSDOTTER

Originally Rod Stewart’s daughter, Kim’s dog, Benny eventually ended up with my client when Benny was 1,5 years old. My client had intended to find him another home as he already had two chihuahuas but fell hard: “he was the most adorable thing you ever saw in your entire life… and before we got home he was mine… so tiny and cute.”

Benny stayed a 5 pound bundle of love and was a very special dog. He passed away in 2015 and my client wanted a portrait in his honor because he liked my “unique style of doing portraits. You capture the dog but it doesn’t look like a pet portrait like you would normally see.”

A well-known interior designer, my client knew he wanted the softest of powdery pink as the background color.

LOVE NOTE

“It is Benny. Everyone that knew Benny can’t believe you were able to capture his essence.”

An instagram comment: “Hi!!! Benny brings tremendous joy during this time THANK YOU! Anyone reading this, the portrait created for me is my most precious possession❤️❤️❤️”
