“Sweet Delicate Hydrangea” – Painting No 1 of Summer Art Auction 2012

10×10 on 1.5 inches deep gallery wrapped canvas (26 x 26 x 4cm)

SOLD

And we’re off. Welcome to Summer Art Auction 2012! I hope you enjoy this piece and will enjoy the coming original pieces that will be up for auction within the next two weeks.

“Sweet Delicate Hydrangea” is straight from my backyard. We have a lovely climbing hydrangea that is spreading its wings by blossoming for the first time this year, and this lovely tiny flower has now been captured on canvas. What a treat.

The background colors are of different leaves cuddling the white flower. They range from the darkest green to almost chartreuse. Depending on the daylight and the availability of light in the location in your home, the greens will be deeper or lighter.

The painting measures 10×10 inches and is made on a 1.5 inches deep gallery wrapped canvas. The green leaves spread onto all sides, a frame is therefore optional. It is signed on the front, and titled, signed and dated on the back. It is ready to hang on the wall.

You may remember that I have painted hydrangeas before. It’s one of my favorite flowers and besides the climbing hydrangea we also have two hydrangea bushes in our small yard.

That kicks off the Summer Art Auction ladies and gentlement! I’m so excited. As a reminder, this painting will be posted on eBay today at Noon. I will provide the direct link to the painting above, and all ongoing listings can be seen here. The bidding for this painting will close on Saturday.

Once the bidding is over and this painting has a winner, I will ship it via USPS Priority Mail or US Priority International Mail Globally. It will be packaged very carefully and insured for the auction value.
