I snapped a photo in between layers while painting the “Pink Closed Tulip” and I figured I’d share the process with you. Please excuse the horrible photos… I had to use the flash as I wasn’t always painting in daylight.

Here’s the first and last layers together side-by-side! How fun to see them like this, the start and the finish. The first layer reminds me of a watercolor art work… And what a difference good lighting and no flash makes! It’s amazing. The softness and delicacy of this painting really shines through in this picture, a very accurate portrayal of what it looks like in person.

Have a fantastic day!
