The holidays are sneaking up on us, yikes. I’m not mentally ready for the temperatures to drop and the sun to go down earlier in the day. Not to mention the lack of time to find gifts… My calendar is slammed with commissions so I may have to give away my own gift certificates this year which is just the perfect gift to party hostesses and family members! 🙂 It is, after all, a great way to give art as a gift without having to pick for them. 🙂

Art is a very thoughtful gift and also very personal. I have clients who will commission me 6 months in advance to make sure they can give away the actual painting, others book me and give this nice gift certificate as a gift instead. That way, the giver can still give the painting in the form of a certificate, the recipient can be part of the commission process if they like or there can still be a big unveiling once the painting is finished.

Some bonds never really leave us.
They simply find new ways to stay close.
