I fell for a tea saucer that Scottish vintage store Peony and Thistle had in their Etsy store a few weeks ago and decided to finally buy it. It’s hand painted in Japan and I just find it irrisistable. I love the color comination and the delicate brushstrokes yet it comes across so bold. Now it’s on my desk in the studio as a source of inspiration.

It’s not the first time I’ve been inspired by something from Peony and Thistle. Remember this tea cup? Maybe this will be the start of another art auction piece? Who knows…

Looks like your cat likes it too! I really hope you do decide to paint it! It's a stunning dish. Enjoy!!!
