Yup – that’s Lola’s tale. And what does Lola’s tale have to do with Unfolding Tulip? She was demanding lots of attention the particular day I started working on “Unfolding Tulip” and waved her tale right into my paint…
I wasn’t sure what background color I wanted for this piece so I started with a white background, thinking it may stay that way. It reminded me a lot of Pansy which looked great on white.
But then I thought it could use some warmth to it and the playing began. I love how this piece turned out. So very lovely. It’s one of those pieces that I want someone else to enjoy equally as much as I want to keep it.
Some bonds never really leave us.
They simply find new ways to stay close.
