Maggie and Erica

Gosh, i’m really struggling finishing this darling pet portrait of Maggie. I paint nearly every day of the year, and I’m typically always inspired to sit in my studio but now, a few days away from hopping on a flight to Spain to see my best friend, Linn, and her family, I just can’t bring myself to be creative. As my good painter friend, Jennifer Lommers, said earlier today on facebook as she shared a similar issue “Yes, we all need a break. Even if what you do for a living is your passion.”

Gaaah! Can’t wait for Spain! Darling Maggie will just have to wait until I come back.

Some bonds never really leave us.
They simply find new ways to stay close.
