Dad's Birthday Fika

Us girls (three sisters and Mom) tries to get together on Dad’s birthday every year to celebrate it. I think it’s a nice tradition and today during lunch I headed over to my sister, Caroline’s house for some Swedish fika. Mmmm she had arranged lots of goodies and, as tradition calls for it, the Swedish flag was everywhere.

Corinne and the monster plum

I also shopped groceries at Corinne’s Market. She told me not to buy the plum “because it turns into a monster when you eat it.” Good to know.

Erica and Russel

And while the other peeps where media shy, Russel had no problem posing for the camera. (he’s doing great by the way! Loving life!)

Some bonds never really leave us.
They simply find new ways to stay close.
