Our tree is up since last week and our advent candle has three candles burning already. I can’t believe it’s less than 2 weeks until Christmas and only 3 weeks left of 2010! Where did this year go?
Today, Lucia is celebrated all over Sweden. Here’s a clip from this morning’s celebrations in Kungsholms church in Stockholm. If you want to know more about the Lucia procession, Sweden.se is a great source.
This is a house where we live and it’s decorated to the brim! People even “tour” the neighborhood. It reminds me of the National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation movie – but in a classy way. The decorations continue in the backyard as well where 10 or more large trees are lit.
I apologies in advance but the December newsletter will have to be wrapped into the first one of 2011 (sorry!) instead. I just can’t do it all. Holiday cards needs to be sent out, Christmas gifts need to be shopped, and I need to finish my commission before Christmas.! If only this annoying cold could go away so I could get my energy back.
