It’s another bird on a wire! Well, technically this little tiny hummingbird is landing – or is he taking off? What do you think?
This is another painting inspired by one of Larry Mayran‘s photos of hummingbirds. This is a juvenile male ruby-throated hummingbird (an adult would have the whole throat covered in these amazing metallic red feathers), but his ruby-red colored feathers almost takes on an orange/gold tone in this painting as the sunset is hitting the metallic sheen.
Hummingbird Landing measures 10×10 inches and is painted on a 1.5 inches deep gallery wrapped canvas (25 x 25 x 4cm). The background is sedated and mystic blend of gray and light beige which continues onto all sides of the painting, and so does the wire.
This painting is ready to hang on the wall, and once the bidding is over and this painting has a winner, I will ship it via USPS Priority Mail or US Priority International Mail Globally. It will be packaged very carefully.
