I found some photos from when my mom and I went to see Chris Botti play at the Kennedy Center in my phone the other day. It’s always a nice treat to hear him play, but hearing him play in such amazing venues as Wolf Trap or Kennedy Center which are famous for having the best accustics in the world is just… aaahh. crazy good. I had chills all over when I heard him play “Hallelujha” at Wolf Trap last summer. That’s one of those great moments which helps me fill up on inspiration.

He surrounds himself with award winning artists and often has a few guest musicians join him for a few weeks as he tours 300 days out of the year (!).

Here’s an interesting fact you may not know. In the photo above, you can hint the 16 chandeliers hanging in the 630-foot-long and 63-foot-high grand foyer (one of the longest rooms in the world). These (and the matching wall scones) were a gift from Sweden to the Kennedy Center and are hand-blown Orrefors crystal chandeliers. They are each 15 feet long, seven feet in diameter and weighs one ton.

Some bonds never really leave us.
They simply find new ways to stay close.
