“I wish you could have seen the look on my in-laws’ faces when they unwrapped Bella’s portrait! They could get over how perfectly you captured her personality, and kept saying, “Has Erica met Bella before?” They immediately started thinking of other animal lovers they know and how they wanted to commission you to paint those pets too. I was only too happy to show them your business card and brochure. They now have the tough decision of picking where in their house to hang this original, one-of-a-kind work of art. The perfect gift!”

Fanny’s pet portrait is a custom original acrylic painting of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel commissioned a surprise birthday gift.
My client came to me a couple of months ago and wondered if I could paint her in-laws’ dog as a surprise birthday gift for her mother-in-law. What a great mother-in-law gift! Seriously. I love how these pet portraits have turned out to be such great birthday gifts! And it’s so amazing to hear how well received they are. I know I was put on this earth to do this and it is an increadible feeling when what you are passionate about is received with open arms. If you haven’t found your passion yet, keep looking. It is so worth it. 🙂
“Bella, the Princess” measures 10×10 inches and is painted on a 1.5 inches deep gallery wrapped canvas. I worked with the client to pick the best background color and we ultimately went with this muted, yellow-ish, neutral color to fit in with their decor. This girl was adorable to paint and she seem to come alive with each brushstroke. The background color spreads onto all sides and it’s sealed with a matte varnish to protect it against UV light, smoke and dust etc.
