You saw a sneak preview of this the other day and I’m happy to show the finished version below! “Closed Tulip III” is here… or as I like to call it “Apple Martini Tulip” for it’s delicious green color!

“Closed Tulip III”

Closed Tulip III” is an acrylic painting done on a 24×18 inches and 1.5 inches deep stretched canvas. The background color continues on all sides.

Remember the other Closed Tulips I did last fall? They measure 36×24, so this one is smaller. I think the gray background and the flat color creates a more contemporary feeling and almost seem 2D when you look at it. It’s subtle but pops at the same time.
