{Leigh’s Bridal Bouquet – original acrylic on 18×18 inches canvas}

“It looks beautiful! You do such great work, and a painting is such a great memento to have beause I loved my bouquet so much. I love your work so much I ordered my best friend one for her wedding, too!” – L.C. of New Jersey

This painting was commissioned after the client saw my work on the very popular wedding blog, Style Me Pretty, and she was an absolute delight to work with! Even before she saw her own bouquet, she commissioned me to do her friend’s as well as a wedding gift. What a great friend!

What a beautiful bouquet, and what a treat to work with all these amazing colors and so many different kinds of flowers. Normally a 16×16-24×24 inches painting takes me around 30-50 hours to do, and because of all the details, this painting took almost longer. I love painting details and if you look at this video you will get a sense for how long it really takes. Of course the video only shows the first layer of what I painted, and not the 3 more times I went over it. 🙂

Leigh’s Bridal Bouquet measures 18×18 inches and is painted on a 1.5 inches deep gallery wrapped canvas. The photos Leigh sent me from her wedding all had a very soft and romantic feel to them, and I wanted to represent that in the background color. I think the soft lilac/blue/gray color works really well with the delicate and romantic bouquet.

If you are thinking about giving yourself or someone else this special gift, check out the bridal bouquet section for more information. I recently added a bridal bouquet video as well that you can view and share with the Mr. as a hint, or with a friend who would love this idea.
