Pet portrait of a french bulldog by artist Erica Eriksdotter

“Thank you SO MUCH for my portrait of Mosby. My mom gave it to me for Christmas and I couldn’t be more thrilled. You did such a wonderful job capturing Mosby’s sweet and funny nature. I will treasure this forever.” – A.K. of Virginia

Mosby’s pet portrait is a custom original acrylic painting of a Yorkiepoo was commissioned a Christmas gift from a mother to her daughter. They had seen my pet portraits in a gift shop in St. Michael’s in Maryland and the daughter mentioned how much she would love one of her little darling yorkiepoo (yorkie and poodle mix). Shortly after Christmas I received the above lovely note with a photo of Mosby sitting right next to his new portrait with a big smile on his face

I mean, does it get any cuter?? I have to print this out and have it on my board among my thank you cards from clients. I find it absolutely thrilling to see my painting next to the real Mosby. Aren’t they so alike!? 🙂

I grew up with a yorkie so this piece was extra special for me to paint as I haven’t had the heart to paint my own beloved dog yet. I think I have to paint Lola first, with a tiara, to keep the peace in my home though. She is the queen in my household and it wouldn’t be fair otherwise.

Mosby’s portrait is painted on a 10×10 inches and is on a 1.5 inches deep gallery wrapped canvas. The background color was requested after viewing Fiver, the Puppy and it spreads onto all sides of the painting.
