{Red Clover – original painting by Erica Eriksdotter}

Have you seen this flower before? You may have as it grows throughout the US on lawns, on roadsides and in fields. If you live in Vermont you may be extra fond of it as it’s the state flower and it’s the national flower of Denmark.

The flower grows 16 inches tall and though named red, it also comes in tones of pink and purple. Check out this amazing field of red below.

This painting was ordered by a Swedish client visiting the US. It’s her favorite flower. Red Clover measures 16×12 inches and is painted on 1.5 inches deep gallery wrapped canvas. You may have seen it take shape in here or on a recent photo I shared on facebook.

{adding the finishing touches while watching Downton Abbey (for the third time) last Friday}

This week I’m preparing for this weekend’s show in New Hope, Pa. I’m also trying to finish the painting you may have seen a sneak peak of last week. Busy week!
