{Red June – original acrylic by Erica Eriksdotter}

I’m so happy this painting is finally done! You may recall that I started it as the same time as Yellow June but for some reason it needed more hours to finish. The paint just didn’t blend as well as the orange and yellow colors. That’s how it is sometimes, but I’m very excited how it came out. I was a little worried about the black shades but now they are my favorite parts of this painting.

Red June is an original acrylic that measures 40 x 30 inches and is 1.5 inches (102 x 76 x 3.8 cm). It’s a close up of a red and pink parrot tulip with dark and lighter shades. The background is light blue and all sides are painted with the same color. It’s signed on the front and dated and signed on the back.

If they haven’t sold already, these two will be shown at the Cape Cod Fine Arts Festival on July 16-17. I think they will look so good together in the booth. I’m going to try to do one more big piece before the show but probably horizontal this time.

Which arrangement do you like the most? Red June to the left or right?

xo,
Erica
