While surfing online a couple of weeks ago, I saw a photo of a Swedish city sign and it instantly reminded me of a watercolor piece I did in 1993. So, city sign plus old painting equals contemporary skyline! I can’t believe I was just 13 years old when I did the watercolor piece… time flies. It’s still one of my favorites.
“Skyline” is an acrylic painting done on a 24×20 inches (61×51 cm) and 1.5 inches deep stretched canvas. The sky and houses continue on the sides of the painting, the sky on the top and the bottom is painted black.
I’ll have to ask Casey to take some photos for me. The details didn’t come out at all! Update here.
It’s been awhile since I did a painting that wasn’t a flower so this was a fun distraction. There will be more flowers, however, and depending on the response of this one, more skylines! Maybe of a city near you! Do you have a favorite skyline?
