“Fancy a cup of tea?” – Painting a Day No 9

10 x 8 x 1.5 inches (26x21x4cm)

SOLD

I love tea and while I prefer big mugs to tiny tea cups, I absolutely fell in love with this tea cup and saucer when the vintage shop Peony and Thistle posted it in their Etsy shop. I asked if I could paint it and they loved the idea. They sell all kinds of vintage home goods from their shop in Scotland and this particular china was made in England by Royal Albert some time between 1927 – 1935. I love it.

“Fancy a cup of tea?” is an original acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas. It measures 10×8 inches and is 1.5 inches deep. This is the 9th of 10 paintings I’m doing for the “Painting a Day” art auction. The light gray background color spreads onto all the sides so it can hang with or without a frame.

The painting is signed on the front and signed, titled and dated on the back. I will package it carefully for protection and ship it via USPS.

You can stay updated on the latest paintings in my “Painting A Day” art auction by watching my eBay listings, following my updates on Facebook or on Twitter.
