Saturday’s Cocktails & Canvases was so fun to host. We had a full group which started as a normal event but until mid-day Friday I decided to make the event FREE to everyone. Why?  Well, the government shutdown is affecting everyone, but especially in and around the DC area where so many people work on federal contracts. It felt like a good opportunity to take a moment to spread some joy through the area where people are furloughed or forced to use up their vacation time. So it gave me great joy to do this and it was very appreciated by my fellow C&C customers.

I love when my fellow painters comment, during class, how fun they are having! It happens in almost every class and it’s just sooooo wonderful to hear. We always have a great time, and this time we managed to shoot some video that gives you a little better glimpse into what one of these C&C events are like.  Painting along to music and I help every step of the way if needed. In the end, everyone come away with a painting they are proud of. Beautiful.

The next, and maybe the last one of the year, is Sunday, November 3. Six seats are currently up for grabs!
