Every fall Casey and I make a day trip to the Shenandoah Mountains, and this time around we went before the leaves started changing.

We got engaged on top of Stoney Man Outlook in 2008 so it’s a special place for us. The view is just beautiful and it’s a quick and easy hike (which is key for me as I don’t have much cardio!).

The camp grounds in the national park are popular and book up a year in advance, and there are many trails that goes on for miles and miles, including the Appalachian Trail which highest point is in the Shenandoah National Park at 3837 feet (1170 meters).
