“Pretty Birdy on a Wire” is of a really sweet, yet determined colorful bird sitting on a wire contemplating life. Looks like he’s got his eye on something too. It’s inspired by a bird that can be found in South Africa.
The background shows a cloudy and dreary sky which balances nicely against the teal and purple feathers of the bird. The color goes from dark gray in the right hand corner to almost white in the upper left corner.
The painting measures 10×10 inches and is made on a 1.5 inches deep gallery wrapped canvas. The gray shades spreads onto all sides, and a frame is therefore not needed. It is signed on the front, and titled, signed and dated on the back. It is ready to hang on the wall.
This is the second bird I have painted and the last one I did was during the Holiday Art Auction last year, also as No 2. It must be a sign!
Once the bidding is over and this painting has a winner, I will ship it via USPS Priority Mail or US Priority International Mail Globally. It will be packaged very carefully and insured for the auction value.
