If you read yesterday’s post Best of 2012, you already know that I had the honor of painting 9 bridal bouquets in 2012! I love painting these so I feel so blessed that I’ve painted so many so far, and several more has been booked for this year! Woo hoo!!  And we already discussed the icing on the cake from last year – having my bridal bouquets mentioned in the Martha Stewart Weddings magazine! Wow.

Bridal bouquet paintings are so filled with love, and we kicked off 2012 with this lovely combination of white roses and yellow gerberas in “Keri’s Bridal Bouquet.”It was given to Keri as a wedding gift by a few of her guests. They gave a gift certificate and then I worked with Keri during the process. She was very happy with the result.

Thinking of Nancy’s Bridal Bouquet always warms my heart because it showed that a gift like this is not just for newly weds, like I had first thought. This painting was commissioned as a 70th birthday present to a mother from her son and daughter-in-law. The wedding took place several decades ago and receiving this gift brought tears to Nancy’s eyes.

“We absolutely love it! It’s perfect! Nancy loved it! It brought tears to her eyes. She was blown away by its elegance and beauty! She loved that it was so personal and sentimental. She said she couldn’t believe we had done this for her. Thank you for creating such a magical experience for her 70th birthday!”

“Eva-Marie’s Bridal Bouquet” was commissioned for Eva-Marie’s 30th surprise birthday party by her husband. She was thrilled with it and shared with me later that she had been hoping for one ever since she discovered my art. “Thank you so much! It is so beautiful and I can’t stop looking at it. This is such a thoughtful gift!”

“Eva’s Bridal Bouquet” is another commission where I would find myself misty eyed while painting. It is such a thoughtful gift. It was commissioned by two daughters as a gift to their parents on their 40th wedding anniversary. Their mother loves my art and has followed me for years so when they wanted to give her something special, they thought of her bridal bouquet. The photos from 1972 were scanned and fourty hours later of painting, it was finished. Then it was off to Sweden for the big suprise and its new home. I received such lovely notes from the daughters and their mom, the tears where leaving tracks on my cheeks that day.

“The painting is exceptional! Thank you so much Erica. This is a memory for life and our mom said it was the best gift she has ever received. I will never forget her reaction when she opened it – truly magic.” – A.V.P of Gothenburg, Sweden.

“Leigh’s Bridal Bouquet” was commissioned by a client after seeing my work on the wedding blog StyleMePretty.com. I chose this lovely background color that seemed to fit in with her decor and also represent the romantic and soft feel of her wedding. She loved it! “It looks beautiful! You do such great work, and a painting is such a great memento to have beause I loved my bouquet so much. I love your work so much I ordered my best friend one for her wedding, too!” – L.C. of New Jersey

This painting was commissioned by a newlywed. After seeing several of my bouquets come to life online, she knew this was how she wanted to preserve her own bouquet. Her one request was to have it in a whimsical style, the rest she left in my artistic hands and she wanted to be totally surprised with how it looked when it was finished. She loved it, and it was a thrill for me to see her reaction when she saw it for the first time in the studio.

“The bridal bouquet Erica painted for me is stunning.  Bouquets are one the one thing from weddings that are so easily lost and this painting not only preserves the memory, but showcases the true beauty and elegance it represented on my wedding day. I can’t thank Erica enough for the time and effort she invested in this painting.  She is an extremely talented artist, and a caring and thoughtful person.” – D.M. of Virginia.

“Kate’s Bridal Bouquet” was commissioned by such a sweet husband after his wife had seen my work on StyleMePretty.com. He wanted to surprise her with this painting for their second wedding anniversary. I was so happy to paint this colorful bouquet. I love pink! Both of them loved the bouquet and they’ve since sent me a photo of where it hangs in their home in Seattle. Makes my heart swoon.

“Thank you so much for your amazing work. The painting is absolutely gorgeous and it’s almost 3D – the flowers just pop off of the canvas. My wife was ecstatic and we’re so thrilled we can’t wait to commission another piece.” – E.S. of Seattle, WA.

“Denise’s Bridal Bouquet” was commissioned by a husband as a gift to his wife on their first wedding anniversary. Swoon! It made it all the way from my studio outside of Washington DC to Belfast, Northern Ireland, and then to Killarney, Ireland, where the couple celebrated their anniversary, without her having a clue. Such a great surprise! “Erica, I cannot describe what it means to me! I love your work and I love flowers so my bridal bouquet was extra special to me and to have a painting of it which captures it so exactly and which I can look at forever is amazing. It’s a very special and personal gift which I will treasure forever.” D.H. of Belfast, Northern Ireland.

“Sandra’s Bridal Bouquet” was commissioned by a husband who surprised his wife with a gift certificate for a bridal bouquet on their five year anniversary. His wife was over the moon with excitement and anticipation. They both loved the finished piece and they felt background color, and the color combination really complimented their home and personalities.  Again, I got to be a part of the big reveal as they came to my studio to see it for the first time.

“Ever since I first saw Erica’s wedding bouquets I secretly hoped that my husband would have her paint my bouquet one day. For our five year wedding anniversary this year he gave me a card letting me know that’s exactly what he had done. I was thrilled. When it was time to see the finished painting I was amazed, it was absolutely perfect and just as beautiful as my real bouquet one the day we got married.” – S.A. of Reston, Virginia.
