Here are some behind the scenes photos I snapped while painting Leigh’s Bridal Bouquet a few months ago. I like to share these with you and it’s also nice for me to look back once and see how it all came together. I often take a photo during a painting session to see how far I’ve gotten, especially if I’m towards the end when I stair myself blind working on the details.

You can probably barely tell the difference between the one above from the below photo but there’s at least 10 hours of work in between. I’ve added another layer of paint on each flower, and definition (highlights and shadow) especially on the dark purple flowers. See the difference now?
