Do I have to use a 12x12 sized canvas? I don't have one at home.

Yes. I invite you to make this process as easy as possible for yourself by investing in the canvas size I'm using. At least the first time you take the course. Using the same size sets you up for success right away since everything is scaled to a 12x12 size for the sketch, reference photos etc. Throughout the course, it'll be easier to follow along and to compare your progress and make adjustments if my size is the same as yours. This course will be challenging enough and it may behove you to release any thing inside of you wanting to make this more difficult. ;)

Q: I can't find the chisel blender brush I need. Are there any alternative brushes you recommend?

There are a couple of options in the " Your Supply List " in the left-hand menu to other brushes. If you can't find what you need via the links I've provided, try jerrysartarama.com or Michaels.com. You can use what you have for now while you wait for your chisel blenders to arrive, or until you have time to visit an art store in the next couple of weeks for a fun and inspirational trip to see if you have something you'd like.
